SC Johnson, a longstanding Gateway Plastics customer, came looking for design and development assistance on a hand held duster assembly. The goal was to develop an assembly that was convenient for end use and storage, as well as cost effective to produce, assemble and package.
Our development team jumped into action. After working closely with SCJ putting together a list of requirements and features for the final design; Gateway managed part/tooling design and development from prototyping through production.
The Pledge Multi-Surface Duster was born. The two halves are designed for ease of molding and automated assembly. Once assembled, it not only folds for ease of packaging and end user storage, but also features a nest for a Pledge spray can in the handle.
